Description

An Adrenaline-Laced Epic Where Dreams and Reality Collide.

Fleeing assailants through deserted alleyways, Thomas Hunter narrowly escapes to the roof of a building. Then a silent bullet from the night clips his head . . . and his world goes black.

From the blackness comes an amazing reality of another world where evil is contained. A world where Thomas Hunter is in love with a beautiful woman.

But then he remembers the dream of being chased through an alleyway as he reaches to touch the blood on his head. Where does the dream end and reality begin?

Every time he falls asleep in one world, he awakes in the other. Yet in both, catastrophic disaster awaits him . . . may even be caused by him.

Some say the world hangs in the balance of every choice we make. Now the fate of two worlds hangs in the balance of one man's choices.

Reading Guides

Reading Group Guide

  1. In the opening scenes we find Thomas desperate to be heard and believed. What does desperation feel like for you? To what extent will you go, when desperate, to be heard? What sorts of actions have you taken?
  2. When waking up for the first time in the alternate world, Thomas finds himself in the Black forest. Is there a Black forest in your life? What does that look like?
  3. What do you feel the Green forest represents? What feelings did you associate with the Green forest when you read about it?
  4. What were your thoughts when you were given a glimpse of the real Teeleh? Did his disguise fool you? In what ways does Teeleh resemble our "Temptor"?
  5. What spiritual truths are illustrated by Thomas and his friends having to flee into the desert to escape the black bats?
  6. After Rachelle and Johan began to "embrace evil," what was your attitude toward them? How is that an example of how people see us in our sinful ways? How was your reaction different from Elyon's? How does God feel toward us today, even in our sinful ways?
  7. Think of the scene in which Elyon reversed gravity, for no other reason than to "have fun" with his children. What does this demonstrate about Elyon's feelings toward his people? In your own relationship with God, have you ever experienced anything similar to this?
  8. If you knew the information that Thomas did, who would you tell and who in your life would you want to protect the most?
