A highly recommended children's book January 18, 2013
Just In Case You Ever Wonder is a great children's book that has a beautiful message for children about the unconditional love their parents have for them and also the unconditional love that God has for them. It discusses Heaven a little, but it’s in a simple enough tone that doesn’t go too far over a little one’s head. One thing we really loved was the simple, yet lovely illustration done by Toni Goffe. It goes wonderfully with the story without distracting from the content. Sometimes we will get a great book, only for our son to get distracted by the illustration. I’m sure we aren’t the only ones out there with this problem. I think children all need to be reminded of the important message found in this sweet book. The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the page that talked about monsters in the shadows. My son gets afraid easily and while we skipped through this part, he still took notice of it. I could’ve done without that part, but the message of the book is wonderful. It would be a great book to give as a gift. We plan to hold onto our son’s copy so he can pass it on to his own children.
