Author Rice Broocks, addresses the very important topic of reasoning in faith. Broocks disregards the dichotomy of reason and faith, and instead argues for integrating logical reasoning to our faith in God. The author attempts to address the topics of morality, creation, the origin of life, the purpose of life, the resurrection, biblical authority, and grace; and Broocks seeks to gleen reasoning for our Christian faith from these topics.
Drawing from areas of philosophy, science, history and theology, Broocks seeks to form persuasive arguments for God's existence and his presence in our lives. Though not a bull's eye, Broocks does hit the target, pretty close. The opening narrative seems slightly insincere which may interfere with his attempt to educate believers about the reasoning behind faith.
Regardless, God's Not Dead does effectively provide an option for our faith to be based in reasoning.
