I am not a boxing fan. I don't believe I have ever watched an entire boxing match in my 55 years of life upon this planet. I am a people fan. I like certain people and like to read about them or read what they have written. George Foreman is one of those people.
I like his style and found the book to be an easy read with lots of great advice- both for the entrepreneur and the person just striving to be a better person.
Anyone who reads a non-fiction book [particularly a self-help book] and expects that author to not use personal examples is missing the point. The very reason to read a particular author's book is that you feel they have some insight that they can share with you. George does that in mass quantities.
If you don't like motivational books, or George Foreman, or you don't have a sense of humour- this might not be the book for you... BUT, if you need some motivation, or advice, or like George Foreman, or you have a sense of humour- give George a try. I think you'll be glad you did.
My one complaint is that the footnotes were at the back of the book not at the bottom of the page where footnotes belong. But I don't blame George for that. I doubt he was asked about it. (Posted on 5/11/12)
