DR. H. G. M. WILLIAMSON is Lecturer in Hebrew and Aramaic at Cambridge University. He holds the B.A. (Hons.) from Trinity College, Cambridge, and the Ph.D. from St. John's College, Cambridge. His previous books include Israel in the Books of Chronicles and 1 and 2 Chronicles; his writings also include various articles in Vetus Testamentum, Journal of Biblical Literature, Journal of Semitic Studies, and other publications.
