David J. A. Clines is Emeritus Professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield. He currently serves as Publisher and Director of Sheffield Phoenix Press. He is past president of both the Society for Old Testament Study (1996) and the Society of Biblical Literature (2009).
